How To Embed Google Maps in your Shopify Store

I’m not sure how many Shopify store owners own brick and mortar businesses. If you do, maybe you want to show people where your store is in the city so they can have a visit and check out your items.

Embedding Google Maps is a great way to have instant directions to your customers. This will reduce customer’s confusion of your store’s address and it will make your store look professional.

I hope you’ll find this useful. Below are the steps on embedding Google Maps to your store.

  1. Go to Google Maps.
  2. Type in your store’s street address, city, state, zip code in the box.
  3. Click the search button. A Map should appear showing your location.
  4. Click the link button on the upper right hand corder. The button has a chain icon.
  5. A box will pop-up and click the link ‘Customize and preview embedded map.’ a popup window should appear.
  6. Depending on your store theme select the Map size. But on most shopify themes the ‘small’ size would have the map fit properly on the homepage. So, select ‘Small’ as the Map size and copy the HTML info on the box below.
  7. Go to your store’s admin section and click the tab ‘Blog & Pages.’ Select your ‘Welcome’ page or whatever your front page is named. Click Edit.
  8. On the ‘Write your page’ box click the ‘View HTML’ toolbar button at the right side.
  9. Paste the HTML code in the box.
  10. Click save page.

That’s it, hopefully this will help you get more customers.

Did the steps made sense? What do you think?
